can anyone help, i need a receipt

i went to put on my joe rocket speedmaster gloves today, and when i pulled the right glove on, it ripped near the wrist. the leather ripped, not a seem or anything. i called joe rocket and they said they would replace them if they weren't a year old(which they aren't) and if i had a receipt(which i did), but i can't find the receipt. it was so long ago i don't remember what happened to it. i was wondering if anyone has a receipt for joe rocket speedmaster gloves that i could have a copy? i know this seems weird but i hate spending over $100 for gloves and they rip without even going down in them, and since i can't find my receipt, i might be screwed out of getting them repaired or even a new pair. if anyone can help, let me know.
    thanks

Joe Rocket products seem to be pretty low quality IMHO... I've seen some of their boots and leathers do the same thing in minor crashes. some of AGV's low end suits are cheap like that..
I know their stuff is inexpensive, and "better-than-nothing', but Cheap shit is still SHIT isn't it?

Did you pay by credit card?? If so, see if they can get you a receipt.

Also try the store or online vendor from which you bought the gloves from.

i disagree with that. joe rocket gear is actually really good. i've been riding with my joe rocket highside gloves for a year and they're still good. they fit perfectly and none of the seams are coming undone. i also have their 2003 speedmaster 1 piece suit and that is some real quality leather and stitch work. their gloves are one of those comfortable gloves the first time you put them on...and after a few rides, they fit even better.

what i don't like about joe rocket's gear is mainly their mesh jackets as in the phoenix jacket. just doesn't feel safe at all. thats my only gripe about joe rocket.

as for pike's sake, i'd consider his gloves are just factory defects. just like all companies, a couple bad apples fall through the cracks.

pike, i hope you get those gloves exchanged. good luck with that bro.

    thanks for the replies.

    abad,
i can't remember if i paid by credit card because it was sometime ago, but eve if i did wouldn't it just be a total? meaning, my credit card company would just have a total for the shop where i bought them? if that is the case, i'm sure i could come up with a receipt from a cycle store that totals about what these gloves cost. let me know.

as for the quality, i'm not sure what to think. i've never been down in any joe rocket gear, but it does LOOK quality stitching and leather so i trust it. i just hope if i ever go down that the gear will hold up, because that's what i'm wearing it for.

thanks everyone and keep the replies coming if possible.

    supra,
thanks for the hope. i wish joe rocket would just take these back and replace them. receipt or not it's their product, and i would hope they would back them up. especially when the gloves look as good as mine do just with a rip in them. i've worked in the golf business for a couple of years, and most golf companies will replace or repair their own product no matter what happened. customer service is something i appreciate. i hope joe rocket is a company that will do what is right.
    thanks

Re: can anyone help, i need a receipt

that is my main problem with most companies if you have there product and it breaks they should fix it no matter what... these people are riding with your product if it breaks or rips and they cant get it fixed, and dont have the money to go out and buy new. what happens, they ride with out it

customer service is a HUDGE deal to me.

Re: can anyone help, i need a receipt

maybe i was lucky but the little tab on the zipper of my boots broke off. yes i could have used a safety pin but i called them up and they had a guy drive right over (he was actually waiting for me when i got home from work) took the boot somewhere, had the entire zipper replaced and back to me within a day.

    was totally impressed.

Call Joe Rocket head office and tell them you got the gloves as a gift hence, no receipt. Tell them they failed way prematurely and if you are POLITE and PERSISTENT, they will give you a new pair....

Re: can anyone help, i need a receipt

    thanks guys,
yeah i'm going about it the right way. the guy wants me to send them to him so he can check them out. if they can't do anything, i might just try to see if a dealer will take them back. usually in retail, if a company carries the product, and they are defective, then they will take them back and issue you a new pair. i hope this works out.
    thanks again.

    +1

That's what I would do. Send them pics, for they will see that the gloves are brand new and should help you out.

    Good luck!
