    Been a few years...

Hey I frequented this board a bit a few years, got out of motorcycling in 2006 after riding F4i's for 4 years, and an EX500 for my first year.  In any event, I have been thinking of how nice it would be to get back into riding.  I am not 100% sure of what i am looking for, I thought another F4i (pre-banana seat) a 600rr, 954....must be a honda.  Then I happened upon a 919.  I have always loved the naked bikes and this one probably fits my riding style better, though i love the looks of a full-fairing sport-bike.  I never put the F4i to the limits (wont do any track days), and the only reason i considered the 954 was because my body fit a bit better on it.  I just found the 919 today and gobbling up all the info i can.

Any insight for an old friend would be appreciated.  I do not have any experience with the 919 and there are not a lot around my area...

    Thanks for the insight.

I only have limited experience on one.  A friend of mine had one (until he crashed it).  they're nice bikes.  You're a little more upright than a sportbike and they're a little heavier.  But its a great street bike.

i see a 2008 250R ninja in your future!  Stick out tongue

i think i sat on a 919 back on a moto show. definitely more comfortable than your typical sportbike.

Hey I remember you.... welcome back!! Big Smile  I can't really offer much insight on the 919 as I really don't know that much about them.  Doubt you can ever go wrong with a Honda though

I believe there is a forum just for 919's.... pretty sure it's 919.org

    Good luck!!

    Re: Been a few years...

I've only taken one on a test ride. Very different from the F4i. Handled quite a bit different. Didn't like the handlebars or lack of fairing/windscreen either. The non-adjustable budget suspension is not a selling point.

I think the biggest plus is you can pick one up used for very cheap.
