    88 cane owner

    just bought an 88 cbr 600 from a fiend and i love it. 
    needs some work
     including:
    carb tuning- need help
    front seals replaced on shocks going to do this winter
    tune up and what not. coming soon .
    new rear tire and a new  paint job
     looking into doing an f2 swingarm conversion and possibly an f4i  rear  faring and rear end
    any help would be  aprecaiated a lot. new to bikes but this one wil scream.   second day riding i  topped it out at i think 135 . like that it will keep up with my friends new r6 like its nothing till it tops out.

    welcome, your only limit is your imagination (and your wallet). Tire and paint are the easy ones.  though i would recomend doing any painting and body work while your doing the fork seals. Simpley because the bike will be out of service any way, that way it wont mess up any more riden time then needed.

       Unless the bike has aftermarket exhaust i would doubt it needs a lot of tunning ( though a good carb guy can work wonders for tunning it in just perfect)unless some one has been monkeyen around. But maybe a good carb cleaning would help. It would also let you see what kind of shape your floats and jets and other parts are in.

    commuting on a VLX600 shadow for now, 60MPG!!! I punched out the baffles, so it has that V-twin snap and crackle that made H/D so infamous. Except this little scute is rice powered!!lol

    and once in a while a 98 gold wing, its a scarey fast 2 wheeled yacht!!

    yeah i like that the bike has no limit to what to do witha it but i need to do a lot to it to get it perfect again so i,m going to bust my ass on it soon ... its got some tickint and vibrations i.m not liking but it runs like a top.... starts up real easy. if you have any good advice i.m up for any good words
