    Yoshimura Pipe Help!

    Hi guys,
i was looking at abadfish DIY for the full exaust system, i was impressed! my question is since i have the same bike (CBR 600 05), and theres this guy who is selling his yoshimura pipe (only the slipon) not the whole exaust system for 350$ but his bike is a 2003 cbr600, and both models the pipe comes under the seat. Do u think theres a difference between the 2 models that would prevent the pipe from being installed on my bike?
The other thing is, is it OK if i just install the pipe not the whole exaust system, or is it gonna make me some problem in the future, like damages? i just want a nice sound since this cbr is too quiet.i dont really care about more hp.

    all suggestion are appreciated

    Thanks

    Re: Yoshimura Pipe Help!

03-04 exhaust cans have different mounting points than 05-06.  So it wouldn't be a plug-n-play thing.  You could modify it but I suspect it would be more headache than it was worth.  I think you're better off getting a can from an 05-06 model.

    Re: Yoshimura Pipe Help!

i guess ur right abadfish, the guy told me that he could install it, but i check on the yoshimura site, and u can see that the exhaust "metallic tube" ( i dont know whats the mechnical word of it)- but its that thing from the can to the pat where it ends near the rear brake paddle- has different mounting points. i think it would be same thing just buying one for the same model for a bit more money and save the headach and probably ill do it myself instead of paying him the labor!

    Thanks
