    One headlight or two?

I thought that with the f4i, you only have one headlight for lowbeam and one for highbeam. But I saw 3 bikes on the freeway today (all f4i's) that had both headlights on and it didn't look like any of them were highbeam lights.

Is there a mod or something that allows you to use both headlights? Cause i'd rather have both lights on when I'm riding, which i don't understand the whole concept with only having one headlight on in the first place...

In stock form, the F4i uses two headlights when the brights are on.

    Re: One headlight or two?

quite a few riders feel its safer to run w/ the highbeam on, just to further increase their chances of being noticed. of course, given that u r also increasing the chances of blinding someone w/ your highbeam, i dont c the benefit. u could potentially aim the highbeam downwards, but the reflectors are completely different so it wont help all that much.

Dont take any offense but it sounds like you  are new to the F4i.  The chances of seeing three F4i in one day all with the headlight mod (both low beams) are very very slim, at least in my area.  I bet you probably confused a Kawi for an F4i or they did have the high beam on during the day.
Yes there's actually a tutorial on this board on how to do the mod, however you must take care to aim it properly because you will definately be blinding people as soon as the sun goes down.

    Re: One headlight or two?

Yea I am new to the F4i scene which why i asked this. However, I do know that I saw 3 f4i's go by me with two headlights on because i saw the very clear "F4i" on the side of the bike when they went past me.

It was on 101 north this morning and 880.

I rarely see that many f4i's in one commute let alone ones that had both headlights on. But what im thinking is that I don't fully notice the high beam and low beam position of the bike so maybe they were all in high beam mode, but didn't seem to blind me which is why i question it.

    Re: One headlight or two?

I only use old one eye at night. During the day, I use the highbeam religiously. But even that didn't help me avoid getting punted off my F4i last year.
