    Optimal running temperature?

What is the range of temperature that an 02 cbr f4i should be running at? I know it depends on the weather and such, but just an average range would be great.

    Thanks :)

    Re: Optimal running temperature?

I get everything from 178 to 228. I commute so when I'm on the freeway with no traffic, it's always at the very low end of the temp scale. If I get stuck at a lot of red lights the temp goes the other way and I almost always get into the fan. The other thing I'll mention here is the standard equipment F4i nut roaster. When the temps get hot, the nut roaster is in full effect and if you're a guy you can count on a reduced sperm count.

    Re: Optimal running temperature?

I like the way you worded the question, several people (me included) jumped to the conclusion that it is overheating.

I agree with Sugi on the temp range 178 cruising on the highway, and 230 in traffic.

I believe that the fan kicks in at 221 or 222, and if i remember what Stang said correctly: the bike will automatically shut itself of at 251 (apparently that is a critical temperature for the seals)
