    954 running rich

    I have an '02 954 that I bought about a week ago.

It seems to be running rich.  After I bought this bike I took it to the shop for a complete check out and had all the fluids changed.  The mechanic said it seemed to be running a bit rich (you can smell it).  He suggested a can of Seafoam which I did.  It does idle better now but it still smells like it's running rich.

Any thoughts on what might be causing this?

Edit:  The bike does have a Micron slip on...

bike is fuel injected, shouldnt be a problem with just a slip on. though the fumes can be a bit strong from the pipe. sure it's ritch? or just a hunch? It should be just a little lean realy, most guys add a power comander to add fuel all over the rpm band ( though not at idle of course). The factory sets them just alittle lean for cleaner emmisions. But if the fuel preasure reg. goes bad they get so ritch that gas can leak from the pipe in an extream case, though it's rare.

My F4i is so rich it floods when you try to start it.  It was my bro's and it was gradual when it started.  I just checked the valves and all the intake valves are way out of spec.  most are so tight i cant get a feeler guage between them at all.  Yours probably isnt that but thought I'd throw it at ya.
