    New Front Signals

    Hey,

I was wondering what choices I have for aftermarket front signals on my 96 F3. I am looking on ebay and have found some that say they will work, but is it possible to fit some that are recommended for other models (  Like These ) onto my bike? I used a circular drill bit to create a hole where the stock wires ran through the inner black fairings on the front to fit some previous signals, but the outer fairings haven't been touched. Forgot to mention - there are three wires running to each blinker ... is that because one is for the power for the signal, one for the ground and one for running lights? Thanks for the help.

I am ready to buy some new blinkers, I am too lazy for hand signals!slap

    Re: New Front Signals

The big thing is making sure they fit propery into the stock stalk recess in the fairing, for that I would make sure that they are the right year. you will likley run into two issues.

1       2 or 3 wires? yes3 wires are for running lights, basicly one wire is comon(ground) one is turn sig. and one is running lights. You can run a 2 wire set, but you lose the running lights and it realy isnt that expensive to get the 3 wire set and do it right( you might save 10bucks)

2      LED's have way less draw, so you flashers are going to be in hyper drive. you can buy a load equalizer to slow them back down . But I think you can find a how to  on in that section , nd its just a realy cheap radio shack part you splice in line.

it's hard to tell on the online sites whether they will fit or not. any recommendations for quality, extra bright, LED lights on my F3 stock fairings?

    Re: New Front Signals

Though I like LED's I went with regular bulbs so that I could avoid all the extra hassle, so i can be of no help beyond what Ive told you......Most sales adds include contact info, call-em and ask question. Ive done that quite a bit. Most are happy to help, their for the most part riders them selves, and costumer relations can make or break a smaller business just by word of mouth......
