    F3 to F4i gauge swap ?'s

I plan on doing the swap very soon.  However, I am kind of in the dark when it comes to the 900rr thermo unit.  I've seen people refer to it as a temperature sending unit, thermostat switch, so on and so forth.  It's kind of hard to nail down exactly what is needed for this application.  The best I can tell, it is #8 in this picture:

If I am correct, I'm really quite happy because the part is only $34.29.  I saw a set of gauges go on eBay last night for $71!  To think, this is potentially only a $105 mod, start-to-finish.

Now, the only thing left to weigh on my mind is mounting the gauges to my F3.  Every swap write-up I have read only goes as far to say that a custom bracket was built.  No one actually goes into detail on how they went about doing it.  I hate going into things like that blind, but it appears I have no choice.

So, yeah.. any confirmation on the part would be great.
    Thanks in advance.

EDIT:  I apologize for this having been posted in the Performance Mods section.  I had intended on posting in the Non-Performance Mods section.  Whoops!

    Yes, number 8!

Mounting is not very difficult as the new guage is much smaller and has a flat rear surface. You can easily take a flat piece of metal, drill it with guage mounts and then attache it to your stock fairing stay.  Good luck

I found a set of gauges on eBay the other night and won them for $45, SHIPPED!  Pwnt.
So, the gauges are on their way.. as well as the 900rr thermo unit.  In a week or so, we should be sittin pretty.  :)
