stangmx135:welcome back Duc. im glad to here u r still racing and have made it up a level in the grand scheme of things. im sure BSB will be a real riot. the vids looks great and i cant wait to here some UK race reports. how do trackdays work over there?? u passed a few riders like they were standing still.
so how r things across the pond? id bet racing is a larger part of the culture over there. i havent watched the WSS race yet, but McCoys testing times on the Triumph looked real positive. is that affecting your approach to the season at all?
The trackday I was at was only for licensed racers, which makes you wonder why I was passing them like they were standing still? Well, the simple answer is, they had two groups. One for BSB and super fast guys and then one for everyone else.
Considering I had 8 month old take off tires and had never seen the track before, I opted to go with the slower group. Now that I look back on it, I shouldn't have even bothered with the group I was in. They were way to slow and my lap times were comparable to the guys in the faster group, although a few of them were doing 3-4 seconds a lap quicker than me.
Things are great here in England. It's finally warming back up, there is more than 6 hours of daylight now and yeah, motorcycles are a large part of the culture. I get all the racing on TV I want and it's all live, to include Superpole, Qualifying, all the races from 125 to WSS to MotoGP.
I won't spoil the race for you, but McCoy is always better in testing than the race it seems.
