these 2 bikes are not really comparable. the F4i was Honda's Supersport racing machine before the 600RR came out in 03'. the Katana has always been a sport-touring bike and nothing more. apparently, HP ratings are similar even though the Katana has that extra 150cc. however, the Katana is atleast 80lbs HEAVIER than the F4i. even w/ a slightly more torque than the F4i (apparently around 6 lb-ft), lugging around that extra 80lbs on the Katana will be difficult. so actually, riding w/ a passenger will prob be more difficult (on the engine) on the Katana.
number-wise, the F4i wins hands down. its lighter, faster, turns better, brakes better, uses modern tire sizes, and its a Honda

. however, it may not be more comfortable for you and your passenger. so get out there and test ride em both, or at least sit on them before making a decision. honestly, if u r used to your old Katana, no Supersport machine will feel as comfortable or as natural. its really up to u to either get used to the new riding position or not. i let a friend test ride my 600RR to compare to his Yamaha beastly, ratted, cruiser thingy... and he said my bike felt like a plastic toy. u prob felt similar on the ZX6R that u sold. he changed his tune a month after buying an SV650, but ya. buy whichever u enjoy.
