hubbard2_a:I understand your question, but I would recomend instead that you steer her toward older more seasoned riders first . I think they would tend to keep an eye on her and help teach her better riding habits , and offer advice that only years of riding can teach. I first rode with my mother , father and grand father. They had all been riding for years when I got my license at 17. And they taught me a lot before I went out on my own.....and they kept me on lesser traveled roads at first, till they thought I was ready for more traffic that main routes bring.....Just a thought. And I know this is posted in the LAIDES LOUNGE, but I felt compelled to offer, since it was to help a new rider.
+1. i remember riding as a teenager and remember how irresponsible i was... and more importantly, how much more stupid i got when other teenagers were around. a parent can do a great job of teaching a new rider some responsibility, a group of teenagers cannot.
