I agree with jjh, that MCN pic looks like its just a photochopped pic of a current 600RR

Yea it doesnt look all that different then the current model except uglier.  I dont expect it to look like that picture.  I think Honda has enough sense to know that it will have to look all new and up to date with the comp.

Re: 2007 CBR 600 RR - More rumours and info

Hi everyone... my first post over here.

I have just bought Motociclismo (in Spain) and there is the CBR on the cover... I don't think anyone has any ideas on how it is going to be... every drawing I have seen looks different so far.

Inside, it says that Honda will not be going Yamaha's way. The 2007 model will be more confortable for the driver (and the companion) than the previous model (at least not as much heat as the exhaust won't be coming out from under the tail). The little article also suggests that the response ot the engine will be flatter than the current model.

Hope you guys understand any of what I've just said...

I don't know if there's a way to upload pictures so for now you can access the picture in the following link:

Well, you may be right to some degree. Maybe they will change the F4i to become a bit more confortable, and/or maybe the 600RR will have better ergonomics (like the GSXR range), but I just doubt that the engine will be flatter. I believe it may have more midrange, maybe the fly-by-wire throttle, slipper clutch, advanced electronics and different exhaust (if true) may contribute to that, but I doubt Honda will stop fighting for the lead of the Supersport class. It's just one of the most profitable range of bikes...

yummy [:yummy] Re: 2007 CBR 600 RR - More rumours and info

My opinion is in the first phrase. The rest is Motociclismo's opinion, just translated... sorry if it is not what you are specting :).

As I said, you may be right, as Motociclismo is also playing the guessing game. Nevertheless, I hope that this time I can also try it out first hand, to give you guys a personal first look at the new machine. Just keep your fingers crossed and hope for an Estoril track presentation fingersx

    Hi Everyone,

I have just read this, "September: 7th: Honda launches pictures, news and specs of the 2007 CBR600RR and other 2007 models." at the Raptors & Rockets site.

I just can't wait to see the pics. I have been two months without a motorcyle so far and I don't have any more friends from which I can borrow a ride... argghhhh. At least I can see the light at the end of the tunnel now, hehe.

    Regards,

Re: 2007 CBR 600 RR - More rumours and info

I hope they have different paint schemes... It looks too much like the R6 or GSX-R paint scheme to me...

I'm not diggin it too much...

Re: 2007 CBR 600 RR - More rumours and info

I'm sure that's a Euro paint scheme. I doubt Honda would go there for the US. I'll reserve judgement until I see some high rez pics, and some specs. Afterall, the CBR is IMO the coolest looking 600 out there. I wasn't expecting a total redo, or a copy cat stubby muffler.

Re: 2007 CBR 600 RR - More rumours and info

Yeah, I like the looks of the CBR the most myself as well, otherwise I'd probably be in a Yamaha/GSX-R/Ninja forum haha.

Would suck to have to choose between an older model for the looks or the newer model for the upgraded parts like slipper clutch, brakes, etc...

Yeah...The educated eye may be able to say "Wow an 07 600RR". But the average joe's not gonna notice the difference.

Official pics and colors for U.S. models... at Honda America.

Enjoy... not very much technical info.
