A pain isn't it.  I'm 6'2, and currently riding the CBR1000RR, I find the pegs a little high - hopfully looking at some rearsets to correct that.  However in posting that it's only really a nuisance on long trips, over 120 kms.  The bike has a nice big feel to it (I came from a Ducati 748), you know you're riding a powerhouse.

Rearsets will bring your legs further back and higher up, if you want more legroom you don't want rearsets. Look into getting relocator plates. They are a cheap alternative to rearsets, but you can also get them to lower the pegs.

I'm 6'4 and can ride my F4i all day long, it's one of the most comfy sportbikes. Unfortunately a litre bike isn't really going to get you more room, unless you go with an older ZX9 or CBR954.  I've had some saddle time on the CBR1000RR and it's much more racey than our F4i's. I'm not sure I could really ride it more than 150 miles or so.

I'm not that big myself but I ride with a guy who is at least 6'3", all 250 solid lbs or him! He looks pretty comfy I think you'll be alright.

Well, I'm 6'4" 250lbs and I fit on the bike nicely. It is uncomfotable for long rides, but what sport bike isn't.

Sorry, my mistake with the termonology.  Looking at gearset with relocator plates (guiles etc). 

So how did you get on? 

Hahah.. This is a funny one..    I am 5'5" tall and find the riding postion comfortable..   How ever when I stop or sit on my bike my friends laugh cuz I am litteraly on my tippy toes cuz the bike itself sits fairly high.   Oh well..  I just bought a 3" lowering link to take care of that and I should be golden...[Y]

Where do you get those relocator plates...never heard of 'em and would love to lower the pegs a little.  I'm 6'...ride fine around town but some heli bars and lower pegs are in order for longer trips.

I'm 6'1".  The ergos on a 1000RR are much more race related then your current F4i.  I had an F4i and have ridden a 1000RR and there is DEFINATLY a big difference.  Personally I wouldn't sacrafice lean angle for a more comfortable ride.  You start to sacrafice the performance and to a point safety when lowering the pegs too much.  If you just have to have the relocaters don't forget their there.

At 6'2" and 235 lbs. I can say that the 1000RR fits real nice. The pegs are a tad bit high but for local rides it's not uncomfortable. We rode about 200 miles two weekends ago and even then I had no problems.
