Hey guys, I'm all done with putting the F4i body on my '90 Hurricane.  I guess all I have to do is figure out a way to mount a headlight.  Any idea's in this area would be much appreciated.  Anyways, I hope you all enjoy these pictures because I know I sure do and if you have any questions just ask away.

looks good man!! good job! what mirrors are those? you are partially covering the air-intake holes hehe, sure it doesnt matter because the bike gets so much air while riding.  i hoped you primered, then painted, then put a clear coat on the paint.

i'm really not feeling the whole "batman" front wheel fender. it's so big and bulky. i'm working on mine right now to make it more slim and modern.

if i were you, i'd just put some fog lights in the front under the nose so it's not noticiable in the day. that way, when u take it track, you can just unscrew them off. i have a friend that does that to his yzf600.

Here's an old pic; I cut my fender with a dremel.  Looking at it, you'd think it was stock (looks much better in person & I can take some detailed photos if you're interested).

That's a good idea about the fog lights.  I just might have to do that.  As for the mirrors, I just bought them from Lockhart-Phillips for a whopping $15.00.  You can't see anything out of them but they make it legal.  And I don't know what airholes I'm covering, I am covering most of the oil cooler but that's no big deal to me.  No big deal...but that'd be great if you could take some more pictures of your fender.  Then I can see exactly what you did.  Thanks.

Your air-intake hole is being blocked by your fairings. My fairing is actually in the way of the coolant reserve. But no biggie. just pushed it down. It's really cramped. I'll try to take pix, my digi cam is broken cuz it got ran over by a car. still take pix but the lcd is messed up so i dont actually know what i'm doing. sometimes it's a video, sometimes its a pic, or sometimes its a voice recording...yeah i know...it's ghetto! haha.

Gimme a day or two and I'll get some profile shots of  that fender.  I just used masking tape & a sharpie to eyeball the cuts i wanted, double checked to make sure they were straight and then went at it.  A bit of filing and sanding to clean it up and I think it looks pretty good.

show me a stock cane that doesn't cover up those intake holes in the frame.  that is why the faring has air intake holes on it, to plumb into the air intake in the frame.  the f4i plastic has them also.  the air intake being plummed in doesn't make any difference unless you are doing like 120mph anyway.  my $0.02

They're F2 mirrors.  I'll take the pics of the fender & mirrors tomorrow if the rain holds off.

Hi, I am selling my 1987 Cane' and the guy whos buying it would like me to fit f4i plastics on it.  If you could tell me exactly how you did such a clean job I would be very grateful!!!!!!  I can order get the plastics in about 2 days.  Thanks.

I'd love to help you out but I don't know if I can tell you exactly what we did.  Before you go ordering all the parts...just to let you know that it took my brother and me a long time to do it.  It's not something that you can get done in a couple of days.  I'd say that if you work on it every night for a solid two weeks you might be able to get it done, but you'd have to be working really hard.  But if you still want to do it I'd be more than happy to walk you through the whole thing.  Just let me know.
