Interview - World Supersport Rider - Miguel Praia
During the Stocksport CBR 1000 RR test, I managed to get an interview with one of the most international portuguese racers, Miguel Praia. He raced in the Honda CBR 600 racing series in Portugal, then went on to a wildcard ride at the Portuguese GP in the 250 GP category. After that, and sponsored by Algrave International Racetrack (a track that is being built) he entered the WSBK championship in 2004. His sponsors integrated him in a team with a Ducati 998, but reliability was always a problem. Last year he went to different team, with a Yamaha R1, and his laptimes improved a lot ! Before the season ended, he came back to Portugal and joined the Honda team to win the last two races in the Stocksport championship. This is an interview with him, when I tested the Stocksport CBR 1000 RR with which he had won those last two races.
At the time of the interview time he didn't know (or wasn't telling) that he would be participating in the World Supersport Championship this season, with a CBR 600 RR. So keep an eye out for him in the next races !
