ok, so last night i was cruising around and I heard something metal fall, i stopped and looked, saw nothing. Shortlyafter, my bike acted like it wasn't catching right (like i was letting off the clutch real slow). Then my clutch lever was not releasing all the way and i had to push it out. After doing this at a stop light, it went completely into freeplay. NO CLUTCH and STUCK IN FIRST!!!! The lever is broken where thre "tensioner" is and the cable is snapped back into the wire casing. Now my bike is sitting in my driveway under a tarp because its about to rain. I have checked ebay and have found nothing, does anyone know where i can find what i need?

Woah!!!  that's not good....Better at a light than screaming down the freeway. 

Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on your point of view), you have a hydraulic clutch so you won't be able to use an assembly from other CBRs.  The newer CBR1000RR has a hydraulic clutch but don't know how interchangeable it would be with your bike.  But most likely it would work.  The only problem I forsee is a different size banjo bolt (not likely).  You can also try other models that have hydraulic clutches (e.g. VFR and probably a few cruisers).

Ebay will be difficult because your bike is a rare site these days.  Check out the OEM parts thread in the FAQ section.  It'll list several online sites that are much cheaper than the dealer.  Unfortunately, it looks like you'll have to replace the master cylinder because that housing is one piece.  That probably won't be cheap.

so i finally got around to the dealer today. i couldnt take my bike because i dont want to mess up my tranny, but i did take pics and videos with my phone. the dealership told me i just need a rebuild kit ($42 from them) and a clutch lever ($20 from them) plus $150 in labor. then i went to the ONLY other bike shop we have and he told me they dont know what they are talking about and i need the whole thing. $209 from http://www.ronayers.com/fiche/frames.cfm?man=ho&groupid=5450&parent=5440 plus $50 labor plus fluids to bleed everything. I have tooked at my housing and my lever goes on with bolt and stays like its supposed to, pivots and all. yhe only thing that i am seeing that i would need to replace would be the shaft and springs that go into the housing from the lever which would just mean rebuild kit. to make a long story short, if my housing is still in tact and everything on the right side of my housing LOOKS good, do i still need buy the whole assy? i know it sounds dumb, but for all i know this may be one of those things you have to replace if just olne piece breakes. Im hoping that buying a new housing, lever and rebuild kit will fix everything. any opinions?

I'm not intimately familiar with your bike but it looks to me that you need to replace the master cylinder housing and the lever at the very least.  I don't know if you would need to replace anything else.

Personally, I wouldn't pay for a shop to install these (especially with the prices that they're quoting you) because they're really easy to install.
