39 years old, been riding since I was 14 on the street (yes, back in the day you could get a MC license at that age), never had a MSF course.

Have State Farm Insurance, full coverage, 250 comp/collision, NO PIP (personal injury protection, I have health insurance for that).  252.20 a year.  I have all my cars, my life policy and my other 2 MC with them.  I get a multi car discount and multi line discount.  My wife is also on the insurance policy, got her license last year, did the MSF BRC, rides a 89 VTR 250 and it costs 72 bucks a year, same limits as the RR. My F4i is 115.91 a year, same limits.

I've had State Farm my entire life.

Guys, you should really check out AIS, they are insurance brockers so you only pay 80$ once in your lifetime to them (thats only if you sign up, quotes are free) and I assure you they will find the lowest rate!
I live in San Diego which is ranked as #3 in the nation for both motorcycle accidents and motorcycle theft and had 2 (?) points on my license.  After a year riding and turning 25 my insurance dropped to $230 a year for liability and uninsured motorist.

Just got off the phone with USAA, which actually does their motorcycle insurance through Pressive.

33yo, no tickets.  $2134/year for full coverage with a $1k deductible.  The rep said $661 of that is simply from personal injury protection and uninsured motorist.  Liability only would be $190/year.  Since I doubt I'll be doing two-grand worth of damage to my bike every year, and already have health coverage through work, I'm thinking that liability-only is the way to go.

Granted I could be out the purchase price of the bike if I wad it up into a tree or get obliterated by a car...  Another option is comprehensive, collision and liability only for $1400/year.

Re: What are you paying to insure the 1000RR? I got quoted 3300 per year =(

Well I have State Farm, and I absolutely love them.  I have a 99 900RR that was currently insured by them (no longer due to a dipshit wrecking in front of me and totalling mine out, long story).  And I only paid $528.00 per year full coverage.  That was with a $250.00 deductable, 300/150/300 coverage, uninsured/underinsured, the whole ball of wax!  I just dropped the insurance on the 900 and I am going to make it a track bike, so no insurance there.

Since I have now said I am getting the new 08 1000RR, I called them up for a quote.  The 1krr is only going to go up $20.00 per month.  Making it $768.00 per year with the same coverage/deductable.

I paid cash for my 07 so I only carry liability with progressive. I think it's around $200 a year.
