    Dealing with Boyz

Hey Ladies, I'm just getting into the whole bike thing...i've been on the back many times but now i've decided to become a rider!!! woop woop!! I am just wondering how you have handled the "know it all boyz".  I do realize that they do know a fair more than i do.  However, i never get into something totally blind.  I'm starting to find that some of them just like to "give advice" just for talk sake. I don't need to hear things 5 or 10 times.  Yes, some things have to be stressed, but when is enough enought? I've just been smiling and saying thanks...how long did you let this go on? How did you "give advice" back? Does it stop?

    Re: Dealing with Boyz

You know what's awesome? When I hear "hey little lady" at the track . . . over and over again. Last week I pulled up to a light on my RR and a dude pulled up to me and asked "do you ride that thing?" Come on! Are you kidding me? My response: "no, I just pose at traffic lights"

I think this is something that we all have to deal with. I have noticed though, that as I improve as a rider, the guys I know have stopped. When they know that you are as good, if not better at the sport as they are, they shut up.

So my advice? Don't let it get to you, don't stoop to their level and do anything stupid. Just listen to their advice, throw out the crap, and ride your own ride.

Keep it rubber side down Wink [;)]
