Hey all, Onion man here,

I wanted to know if anyone here would know the Virgina state law regarding the placement of license plates on the swing arm? I've seen several Harley bikes with them, but everyone at work here is telling me that it is illegal here in the state of VA. I checked the internet but cant seem to find anything on that...

Any help would greatly be appreciated.....

im not from there but im upstate a little in MD, and i know that its illegal, but usually if it is lighted at night its not that big of a deal. but as you said the harley guys have them, yeah but listen and im sure you know. they cops LOVE to pick on us... so with that being said, i would check out other bikes i your area and see what they are doing.

hey i just remebered ive seen people bend and mend their plate to fit lik under the tail where the shock is.. i mean its all going to be illegal, but to me if its light up shouldnt be a BIG problem... anothing thing you can do , is get an undertail and mount it like 1.2-3.4 of the way down the tail ( going towards the shock) its up to you.. i would just try to keep it on the tail, versus the swingarm.
