    South Eastern Ohio State Highways....

I am taking a two-day trip around southern Ohio and was wondering if anyone has been on any of the following state highways.  From looking at the map, some of these roads look challenging.

    State route 148

    State route 7

    State route 556

    State route 26

    State route 255

    State route 800

    Thanks.  Any info would help.

    Greg

Its been afew years, buti passed threw that area on a trip west. You can expect sudden twists and turns with steep grade changes up and down. even highways were a challenge for me as I'm from md's mid shore where its pretty flat and strait. foul weather makes it more fun. traffic doesn't seem to notice(guess locals are used to it) since the avarage speed on the highways was 65 or better. Though I think I would have been more comfortable on my bike. In my opinion though it is Beautiful area. and make for a great time.

I have done most of these roads in past 2 yrs and these roads are nice a twisty a great fun but be careful of the uneven pavement and some of the roads had pot in the middle of the turns.  Enjoy 26 and 800 those were two of my favorites.

I just got back from the ride.  It was 480 miles total over saturday and sunday.  Everything went well if you ignore the all day rain on sunday.

    State route 148 - excellent

State route 26 - twisty, very twisty

State route 800 - excellent.  Crooked enough to have fun, straight enough to be rideable.

    State route 78 - excellent

State route 255 - stay off.  Gravel, sharp curves, bad blacktop.
