ok, finally get my clutch lever and master cylinder rebuild kit in, and my bike is sitting in a small puddle of gas. so im like WTF?!?!?! take off the fairings and it has a steady drip of gas coming out of whatever it was. im just now getting into bikes so im a little slow at this, but i used to run a body shop with light mechanics on cars and trucks. so i have some common sense. i think its the fuel pump, but i dont know. can anyone tell me what this is and where to get another one w/o using the dealer. oh ya, i got the name of this post cause i only had a puddle 1st, once i took it off, you guessed it, gas came out. i was gonna plug it up, but i figured i have to do some work on the tank anyways so lay it drain. well, my driveway SUX, which i failed to remember when it rains and my tank was full. Buckets you say, wish i had one. lmao. just FYI on the name.
