Completely different conditions from yesterday greeted the Superbike and Supersport racersa today, as heavy rain meant very wet races. In Supersport Miguel started from 33rd place on the grid, slowly climbing a few places until another rider went down and caused the red flag to come out. This lead to having the race divided into two heats, with the aggregate times deciding the final position for riders. After the first "heat" in which Miguel was steadily picking up a place here and there, he went even better on the second "heat", and managed to climb up to 18th at the finish line, only 3 places away from a first point in World Supersport:
"It was a good result, that cheered up all the team, specially after all the difficulties we had all week-end. I am just sorry I didn't make it to the points, but if we keep going like this, I'm sure that sooner or later we'll achieve our main goal."
"The rain made it very difficult for us. We barely could see anything. But after the race was interrupted, when we did our second start, conditions were much better, even though there was still a lot of water on the track."
"This result helps us point in the right direction. It seems all the bad luck is now part of the past, and I just hope I can do even better from now on."
