The dealership couldn't tell you if it interchanges? Those rims are hard to find used, and they are $650.00 from the dealership.....they never have it in stock. I'm told its comeing from somewhere back East and it takes two weeks to get it. This will be my third rear wheel for me on my 04 CBR 1000rr

So far, any year 1000RR rim will fit any other year 1000RR, but the shading/color might be a little different.  I had my Honda dealer look them up too & they have different part numbers for the wheels, but the same part numbers for everything else (like bearings, spacers, seals, etc).  I was in the process or ordering some factory rims that had been chromed & wanted to make sure they'd fit by 06 properly.  The place I got them from said they are all the same as far as sizes & design, but the part numbers are different because of the finish/color and/or shades of black used to on the finish, but that they would all interchange (04 thru 07).  So I ordered a pair of chomed ones & new bearings, seals, etc.  I have no way on knowing what year they came from, but everything went together/on the bike just fine.
Life...it's what happens while you're making other plans.

while i dont kno the reason y ure going through wheels soo fast...but, u realize u can get wheels repaired/straightened for much much cheaper.   http://www.drjohnsmfs.com/ is a respected frame/wheel guy down here in SoCal.  160$ to straighten newer japanese rear wheels.  and another, http://www.gpframeandwheel.com/services.html in NorCal and ive heard even more great things about the guys at GP.

damn 650!!!! i recently wrecked and totally recked my rear wheel. i was hittin some twisties with my buddy and i hit a left hander (a 10 mph) turn at about 35 or 40 and at full lean my pilot power gave out on me as soon as i hit the gas, it went rear whel first into a curb and bashed the wheel all the way to the sprocket and took the bead off the wheel. long story short go on ebay or craigslist.com i found an 07 rear wheel everything included except sprocket and rotor for $222 and 260 with shipping from ny to cali! (shogun frame sliders totally saved my fairings, no scratches at all just some scratches on the crank case) plus 40 for new levers!
