judging by some pics i just looked at, the subframe on the 1000f is steel and welded to the frame. newer subframes are aluminum and bolt on, so seems like the easiest way would be to hack the old on off at a point that would make it easiest to bolt the new on one. a torch might help to get the old subframe in a good spot, and w/ some welding skill, u could easily attach some new mounting bosses for the new AL subframe. most of the other stuff would prob come a lil easier... mounting the battery, ECU, reg/rec, and taillight.
