    CRF150R

why the effin fack is this thing so expensive? i want one soooo bad as a mini bike for my friday flat tracking at sandhill. (sandhillracing.com). does anyone else here own one? is it really like 20 or 25 hp? i want it since my ttr sucks (really low on power, no big wheel version). buying a drz 125L and doing big-bore/pipe just too much trouble, and may end up almost the same as price for crf150r, if not done right, shopping wise.

i went to visit a dealer that had flyers at friday's sand hill section. supposedly clearing 07 models for like 5% over invoice, with discounts for racers. then no 07s in stock. and he was askign 4700 otd for an 08 crf150r. banghead

    Re: CRF150R

my mom had an 05' and the thing was a blast.  very reliable, good power... and that model didnt have any of the perks of the expert model.  damping rod forks w/ no adjustment, tiny wheels, crappy shock, and a two-valve engine IIRC.  im not surprised that the newer expert gets an extra 1000$ tacked onto the price for all those upgrades.

however, that bike was destroyed when someone tried to steal it and ended up dragging it down the road for a mile.  but ya, she now had a TTR225.  bike is the same height but obviously has more torque... which at her riding level, she really notices and enjoys.  but i was sad when she went Yammie...

    Re: CRF150R

arrghh... i can't find a good price on this one. maybe i'll hold off until 09. rumor is yammy is coming out with a 150 to compate against the crf150r (or expert/RB version).

else, i respring the forks. or just try to sell the ttr and get a used drz125L and do mods.

    thanks for feedback stangmx!
