CBR929-jardine race can, down 1, polished frame and swing arm, wheels polished, HELI bars, Sargent seat, Puig racing screen
commuting on a VLX600 shadow for now, 60MPG!!! I punched out the baffles, so it has that V-twin snap and crackle that made H/D so infamous. Except this little scute is rice powered!!lol
and once in a while a 98 gold wing, its a scarey fast 2 wheeled yacht!!

OK, I saw the new ninja in person today! WoW! its great, to tell the truth I'd buy one just to have 4 a second bike! The one I got to see was black and it was just stunning to see. with the exception of the slightly narrow rear tire its hard to tell its a 250. and the only markins are just kawasaki and ninja. the displacment is left off. the sales guys were all pumped to take it out for a spin . but said the boss wouldn't have it yet! My wife is a hard sell for bikes it has to have a hard look to meet her standards and she loved it. infact she wants one when we can afford it. ( just under 4 grand , we want to pay cash!)

they look ok but can assure you they're absolutely gutless to ride. Feels way less than it's 33bhp (i think) Just gutless. . . doesn't even seem to be trying. I've had more fun on 125cc scooters.
Me mate bought one (god knows why, I told him, I really told him) and is selling it 3 weeks later. If you want an economic nippy town bike buy a scooter. . . if you want a cheap 1st bike buy a fazer

Wow thats brutal..............I have a few friends that have these bikes and my husband has rode it as well and they are fantastic!! Not sure why you think its gutless.............I've not heard anyone say that about them at all. In fact my husband rode one on Kawi demo days and he had no trouble getting it up to 170Km (which is when he backed off the throttle) going up hill and leaving other riders behind.
All the local Kawi dealers around us have wait lists for the 2009 already cause they have pre-sold all the 2009 already.

sadly, quite a few riders dont understand the concept of a powerband... or are not comfortable using it. hell, some dont understand the concept of 'throttle'...

obvioulsy you're one of them...a 4 stroke pararllel twin doesn't have a powerband.
and it this case it has a surge of power akin to an 80 year old's bladder leaking piss in the night
The bike may well have hit 170kph, but felt like it took forever getting there though THAT wasn't my problem.
I don't excpect a 250 4 stroke bike to be fast. But being such a small engine I expect it to be revy and eager - imho it wasn't.
gutless
buy an RS125

I rode one of the old ones once....It was like the little moped that could!!! My first bike was a honda Twinstar cm200. 4 speed - down hill in a tail wind it would top out about 75 mph. So for what it is , the grinn factor makes it likable.
