    Speedo off

I talked to the dealership about reseting the speedo on my bike 06 600RR since I put new gears on it.  They told me they wre not alowed to mess with it.  Anyone know if there are shops that can fix this of some way to reprogram it for my gears.  I went from a 16F 43R to a 15F 46R.  Thanks

    Re: Speedo off

if u asked them to "reset" the speedo, perhaps they thought u were talking about the odometer.  of course they arent allowed to mess w/ that.  id be shocked if a dealership was not allowed to install a Speedohealer.  try to talk to a mechanic and ask him explicitly if he could install a Speedohealer for u.

however, the install is real ez and u shouldnt bother paying someone to do it for u.  if u can remove your fairings w/ ez, u can install a Speedohealer.

    Re: Speedo off

Truth is the dealer couldn't do it even it they wanted to since they would have to reprogram it. I've been running Speedo Healers for years with good luck.

    Re: Speedo off

    Stupid question

Do you have to INSTALL a speedo healer and leave it on the bike?

Or is it something you USE on your bike, and can use on other bikes??

If its something you use, imma try to get ahold of one and use it.. If its something you gotta install for $100, blah, i'l just live with incorrect speed lol

    Re: Speedo off

Its an install...they are model specific too...you'll have to find one for your bike.

    Re: Speedo off

once you have it installed you still have to calibrate it. a portable gps would be handy. or mile markers.
