the ankle survived. was a little sore that night. didn't help my other friend on a multi-strada wanted to go for a short loop up in the mountains the next day (i was ready to be couch potato all day sunday!). i was feeling tingling on my toes as if the uric acid will crystallize but it doesn't. it's just odd having that sensation of inflammation about to burst out.
i wasn't pushing hard enough (but it felt like it physically). i was wayyyy off on entry speeds, exit, braking, etc. you name it, i had it as a problem. i had a few oopsie moments with GP shifting since it's the first time trying it on the track. only other time i used it was commuting with bike 1 time to work. i kept on "thinking" about it instead of making it second nature. need a trackday or two more to be comfy on it. switching between gp shifting and regular screwed me up yesterday on the duc (will have to get that whatchamagig on the duc to make it gp shifting now). i had a big opps on Turn 11 when i accidentally downshifted to 1st gear, brake, turn, and it got bent out of shape.

i missed the first session since my friend used the generator to check hot pressures (didn't hear me when i said bring an extension cord, sigh). 'tis ok cuz i had to get my suspension set up again with Dave Moss. no sense in rushing out with cold tires, cold suspension on a cold morning. 2nd session, i didn't even make it past turn 5. my clutch cable lost tension and i coudln't shift. the hook popped out at the sprocket cover. i need to trouble shoot it further since there's a click at the end of the pull (hard pull). i've had that since last year. but maybe i didn't crimp the end of the cable enough. so i'm now 2 sessions down to shake things out. one of the k@tt instructors kept me company during the whole session sicne there was no place safe enough for me to cross and go in. in hindsight, i should've gone in even though i only had 3rd gear.
otherwise, i was 10 seconds off my pace from last year at the end of the day (was really off earlier). my friend's video wouldn't record me in two attempts at the track. it probalby thougth "this person doesn't belong in A group, and is not worthy of my memory/recording.

but i wasn't slowest in the group. there were a couple of gixxer 1k's on it, girl/guy combo. i didn't have enough confidence trying to outbrake them as i just realized a couple of things about my braking. i'm up their asses on the exit thinking i'll get the drive out, but 1k's vs. 750.. they're gone after 2 seconds. sigh.. i just pulled in and space it out. my hands were cramping, but legs were OK and abs.
i was buzzed so many times, but it's no biggie as i need to get used to it. when i hit my knee the first time, it actually surprised the heck out of me. i was following someone and thought, that's slow enough. next thing you know.. pack!... scrared the hell out of me.

sigh.. i need more seat time... but i have no time to do it.. cancelling out of 4/22 at sears.. and i might not even make my sears day in may too during afm week.
