Anybody know anything about the new Honda Cbf1000, it just got released here in Australia, i had a test ride of one, as my current cbr isnt agreeing with my back anymore.

    seemed nice

im tempted to get one, its not as quick as i thought, about the same as my 600, but a lot smoother

what little ive read,  thier the rr mill detuned to 96 hp.Suposedly for better mid range. But thats down like 70 hp from the rr. it better have the mid range of a 747 for that kina loss! thouh in a test ride the writer was able to take off in 6th gear!

CBR929-jardine race can, down 1, polished frame and swing arm, wheels polished, HELI bars, Sargent seat, Puig racing screen

commuting on a VLX600 shadow for now, 60MPG!!! I punched out the baffles, so it has that V-twin snap and crackle that made H/D so infamous. Except this little scute is rice powered!!lol

and once in a while a 98 gold wing, its a scarey fast 2 wheeled yacht!!

I dont know?!?  I was impressed by the whole taking off in 6th gear thing. Maybe they did find gobs of torque by lowering the horse power.  How use full would more power be if you cant keep the front end down to use it? And that kind of power should make 2 up rides a breeze also. Id love to see a sport tourer with that mill,  kinda like the latest VFR.

i had a demo of one a few weeks ago, it didnt feel like you could take off in 6th, but it did have a fair bit of torque, everything felt smooth and easy on it to ride, but it wasnt blistering quick that you would expect from a 1000cc bike, felt more like sub 600cc.
