    Frame Slider mishap

Well...not wrecked.  Kicked over.  Anyway...important stuff.   I was attempting to replace my frame sliders after some loser kicked my bike over, and apparently the bolt for the left side is bent.  When I was tightening, I felt it give and automatically backed it out.  I just stripped the threads inside the hole.  Anybody know what tap to use to cut and clean the threads?  Also...what about the measurements of the bolt?  Diameter?  Threads?  Now to the right side.  I'm trying to install lightning performance sliders.  The bolt for the right side is not long enough to go through the slider, spacer and out the other side of the engine for the nut to go on.  If anybody can help...I would REALLY appreciate it.

heli-coil! youll need to drill it out to the larger size of the heli-coil, then tap it to the size of the heli-coil. then your new slider and new bolt thread directly into the heli-coil. this is the best way to get your desired out come with minimal trouble. its considered one of the best ways to repair dameged threads and retain stock hardware, and its not real expensive either.
