    07 600 RR Frame Sliders???

    Hey Guys

Am about to get myself an 07 600 RR in a weeks time and am confused about which Frame sliders should I buy for it.

Here is a link to the LSL sliders which am finding really impressive however am not sure if it will protect the body kit am sure it will save the engine in case of a fall.

    Can anyone advise something?

here is the link to it

Also if anyone can suggest on the No Cut Shogun Slider set. I read it somewhere here that getting no cut ones is not a good option is it true?

    Thanks Guys

Re: 07 600 RR Frame Sliders???

id be more than a little concern w/ the LSL's.  casecover bolts are never meant to take a load and w/ those sliders, ud be applying a ton of force to 3 tiny bolts.  they only torque to less than 10lb-ft.  could potentially destroy the engine case.

real frame sliders r never meant to protect the bodywork.  the sole benefit is to reduce/prevent damage to the frame.  yes, in non-moving tipovers and such, a slider can save the bodywork... but the second u get over 10mph, the bodywork will be scratched should u fall.

older-style no cut sliders usually just clamped around the frame, potentially leading to much more frame damage in the event of a fall.  however, it seems the new design bolts to something n could be safer... though i still wouldnt buy em.

    Hey stang,

I was checking out some other sliders and it seems the 07 RR body kit design easily allows for installation of no cut sliders as opposed to earlier models. I was checking out the R&G's Aero bobbins the installation instructions revealed that they can be installed onto the frame without drilling a hole, the come with a bracket to bolt on to the frame and then fix the sliders. Here have a look.
