your foot should be placed just off center of your peg, with basicly your toes on the brake. Then if you need the brake you simple lean that foot forward. It will kinda leave you with the peg somewhat between your arche and heel. almost in a direct line under you leg. you wont need a lot of brake just enough gyro force to stop your movment backwards. you might want to practice brakeing just after the tire lifts and keep working up to get a feel, rather than doing a 12 and stomping the pedal....If you know what i mean?!
