    downshiting and rpms sweet spot

So  I just got my 1996 f3 a week ago and I've been riding it and getting used to it but I'm having problems finding that sweet spot of the rpm's when downshiftin

    what's your guy's sweet spot?

Please introduce yourself in the New Members section.

There is no sweetspot.  Instead what you need to do is match revs when downshifting.  It sounds like you're new to riding.  If that is the case and you don't know what it means to match revs, I suggest you don't worry about this right now.  Just brake and downshift appropriately as you are slowing down.  Get used to riding first before worrying about slightly more advanced techniques in riding.

If that is not the case, then do a search on rev matching and downshifting.

Oh and please introduce yourself in the New Members section.

ahh the good ole' blip discussions, muhahahahaha. Big Smile

ride more. ull very easily figure out the proper method to downshift once u start doing it all the time.  the wrong method will be jerky and the correct method will be smooth as glass, plain and simple.  just pay attention to exactly wat ure hands are doing and how the engine sounds and ull be fine.
