    creaking from lowering link/rear shock

started few days ago, now its really noticable 15k on bike 2002f4i

i tried spraying some penetrating oil, but that didnt help.

i want to remove the dogbone and see if the brass bearings in ther are messed up  or clean the bolts and put some fresh grease in.

how do you take the weight off of the swing arm , so i can unbolt the rear shock?

also, anyone have the 2bro exhaust and have a vibrating muffler issue? like the muffler is just a little to big for the exhaust pipe?

    thanks!

there are a couple ways to an end here. you neede a piece of soft rope to loop through your passenger pegs. then an engine hoist, or a "come a long" winch  hooked to a rafter or a sturdy tree limb or such will raise the bike and unload the rear suspension. you have to improvise here a little but hopfully you get the idea. Main thing is the passenger peg brakets make a great lift point.
CBR929-jardine race can, down 1, polished frame and swing arm, wheels polished, HELI bars, Sargent seat, Puig racing screen

commuting on a VLX600 shadow for now, 60MPG!!! I punched out the baffles, so it has that V-twin snap and crackle that made H/D so infamous. Except this little scute is rice powered!!lol
