When on a Interstate is it good or bad to take the first exit and pull over in a “safe area” instead of pulling over on the side of the road?
I ask this, because one of the members of this forum posted a couple times about it, and was never corrected (or supported).
I (foolishly) tried it, and got $312.00 & 4 demerit points as a "FAIL/YEILD TO STOP FOR EMERGENCY VEHICLE" (in addition to a speeding ticket, i did reduce my speed, put my turn signal on, and basicaly rode down the line, not wanting to be in the emergency lane either).
Just wondering if any LEOs would have thought that to be a good thing.
Thanks
(PS, Court date is past, it’s a done deal, I’m just curious)
