my teknic suit has foam pads in the foramrs and elbows and sholders.  but it has foam padded hard plastic in the knees. 

1. I was wondering if there is any way to get some  hard plastic in the elbow area of the suit?  there is a velcro opening at the end of the hand cuf.  also a small opening down below at the end of the leggings. 

has anyone had luck upgrading the armor in these suits? 

2. what decent back protectors do you guys like?

ya u can upgrade the armor. i kno A* sells the armor they fit in most of their suits. if u want, for now, u can always just pull the armor out of another jacket and slide it into the 1pc. thats wat i did for my first trackday and my hand-me-down 1pc. damn foam does nada, but the A* armor from my TZ-1 fit perfectly and was comfortable.

as for backprotectors, i love my T-Pro ForceField. ive been down on it at the track and didnt feel anything. no hard armor to prevent sharp objects from doing dmg, but it def absorbs quite a bit of energy. it also doesnt take up too much space and has a great kidney belt attached (highly recommended)

they have some other stuff too, but im sure this stuff will work great, 

 

im just wondering, has anyone tried stitching on plastic armor externaly to a 1pc suit? like the sholder area is what i was thinking of doing.

i saw the armor for sale on the A* site a while ago, year or so. doesnt seem to be now. Knox does make good armor though and there r prob a bunch of other brands that sell their stuff.

externally?? u need the leather for abrasion resistance and the armor for impact resistance. making the armor do both wouldnt work since ud end up melting the armor, leaving u w/ no impact resistance.

kneesliders on ure shoulders would be funny though...
