    low compression trying to resolve???

    I recently purchased a 88 hurricane.

after purchasing the bike I compression tested at 85psi. manual states 180 psi.

the engine is pulled and opened, I' m going to lap the pistons (no cupping luckily) they're pretty burned up.

any ideas on replacing the piston springs when I'm in there?

or any other ideas on pitfalls to look for?

as well as a good source for replacement parts.

    thanks

    Joe

Piston springs?  Did you check the valves before tearing into it.  open valves cause low compression too.
